Sibenik day tours to Krka National Park, a mini Plitvice Lakes, and visit to Sibenik and its UNESCO medieval Cathedral.
Description:
Meet your car and driver at your hotel or “cruise ship in Sibenik for a day tour.” Drive around 30 minutes to Dalmatia’s very own mini-Plitvice, where waterfalls and pools have formed along the River Krka to create a stunning park of 100 square kilometres. The most notable waterfall in the park is Skradinski buk, made up of 17 separate falls that cascade down nearly 50 metres. Between April and October there are free shuttle buses and a water bus, but otherwise there are plenty of good pathways alongside the falls. There are excursions inside the park available to a tiny island with an Orthodox monastery and church, Roman remains and 19th century watermills.
Return to Sibenik to explore the charming, medieval town at whose heart stands the glorious St Jakob Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before returning to your ship or hotel.
