How do I book a private guided tour?
Our private guided tours are very easy to book. Simply select your city or click on one of the special themes listed on the left of the page, and choose one of our private guided tours. When booking, tell us where you would like to be picked up from – your hotel reception is usually the best place – and at what time, and how many of you there are in your party.
How do I pay for a private guided tour?
Secure online payment is made through PayPal and it does not cost you anything extra to pay with your credit or debit card. You do not need to have a PayPal account. You will need to log in to the ReadyClickAndGo website with your email address and a password, then follow the instructions on the screen. Your credit card details are completely secure at all times.
How soon after I have made a payment do I receive confirmation of my private guided tour?
As soon as your payment has been processed by PayPal you will receive a confirmation of the transaction from them within minutes, emailed to the addresss you have given. Confirmation from ReadyClickAndGo of the tour – date, time, pick-up point, itinerary, inclusions and so on – will follow usually within 48 hours, once all arrangements have been approved and confirmed by our suppliers. You should print a copy of this confirmation email and take it with you to show the guide.
Do you send me tickets for my private guided tour?
You do not need tickets for our tours, but you should print a copy of the ReadyClickAndGo confirmation email and take it with you to show your guide. When making a booking you will be asked for a telephone number on which your guide will call you the day before your tour to check the pick-up time and place.
Can anybody else join my private guided tour?
Only if you want them to! ReadyClickAndGo guarantees that your private guided tour is exactly that – just for you and your party and no one else. However, if you would like to invite other people to join your tour please let us know as soon as possible at tara@readyclickandgo.com so that we can make the necessary arrangements with our suppliers, and collect payment from you for the additional guests.
What is the age limit for a child?
Children under 14 years (i.e. up to 13 years old) pay a reduced rate.
Can I make up my own itinerary?
Yes of course! If you don’t see exactly what you want then just tell us! Email us at tara@readyclickandgo.comand we can check and arrange your preferred itinerary with the same care, and give you the price. You choose what you want to do!
I want to do one of your tours by pubic transport, is that possible?
Many of our city tours are very flexible, and perfectly practical using the public transport network, either bus or underground, and of course these options are cheaper and greener. You still have a private guide who will show you how the transport system works so that you can perhaps venture forth independently later on. Just email us at tara@readyclickandgo.com and we can arrange your preferred itinerary and give you the price, inclusive of bus and/or underground tickets.
Can there be more of us in my party than are listed on your booking form?
Yes of course! We have simply given the most popular options on our website, but if there are more of you than is listed on the booking form just email us at tara@readyclickandgo.com and we can arrange secure payment for all of you.
What is the difference between AmPm and All-day?
Most of our half-day private guided tours last between 3 and 4 hours and are available either in the morning or the afternoon – AmPm – just let us know your preferred pick-up time. Full-day tours are described as All-day and last between 6 and 8 hours, depending on traffic and the distance travelled. You can still choose what time you would like to start, just bear in mind that the later you start, the later you will return. Some tours, particularly the evening shows, have specific start times, so will have less flexibility with your pick-up time
How long exactly are the tours?
All tour durations given in the tour description are for guidance only and subject to conditions beyond our control. Most of our half-day private guided tours last between 3 and 4 hours and our full-day tours last between 6 and 8 hours, depending on traffic and the distance travelled. Exact timings also depend on the number of other people at the places you visit, but if you need to be somewhere at a specific time just tell your private guide at the outset.
I want to book a tour for tomorrow but your booking system won’t let me – can I still book a tour?
Yes of course! Our booking system does not allow you to make a booking online within 3 days of the tour. This is to enable us to ensure that all arrangements are confirmed with our suppliers in good time, but if you do want to arrange a private guided tour at short notice, email us at tara@readyclickandgo.com and we will make every effort to accommodate you.
Do I tip my driver and guide?
Any tipping is entirely at your own discretion, if you feel that the services of your guide and driver have contributed significantly to your enjoyment of the tour. It is customary to tip the guide more than the driver, in a ratio of around 2:1.
