Explore local life on this superb private day trip from Hanoi
Meet your private guide, car and driver for a full-day tour from Hanoi to the outskirts of the city centre, where Dong Ngac Cultural village is located. Stop at a morning market for insight into the life of local people and purchase some gifts. Walk to the host family’s house for a welcome drink and prepare for a biking tour ahead. As you venture deeper into the village, visit the Communal House, of which the ground is built in the shape of a dragon. More than 300 years old, it is the village’s oldest house that once belonged to the local Do family.
Head back to the host family to participate in a cooking session and enjoy your own prepared dishes. Visit the Temple of Literature, originally built as a Temple of Confucius, before heading to Hoa Lo Prison Museum where the former US presidential candidate John McCain was imprisoned for over 5 years.
