Private day trip to enjoy the wines and villages of Kosovo
Meet your local English-speaking guide, car and driver at your hotel in Pristina for a private full-day excursion sampling Kosovan wines in the morning, and exploring the quaint town of Gjakova after lunch. Head west for an hour to Rahoveci and Stone Castle Winery for a wine tasting, where Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Merlot grapes produce the finest wines of the region. Continue to Velika Hoca village, once known as ‘little Jerusalem‘ and which has been famous for its churches and vineyards for centuries, vines tended by the monks, and visit the winery in the monastery. Drive to Gjakova for lunch in a traditional restaurant and in the afternoon admire its reconstructed 17th century bazaar with 15th century mosque, the Ura e Terzive and Sacred Bridges. Return to Pristina.
