Fantastic one day tour from Beijing the Great Wall of China at Mutianyu section one of the oldest, best preserved and scenic parts. Here you can take the cable car (not included in the tour cost) up to the top of the 25ft wall and walk along its crenellated parapets for around 2 hours, and admiring breathtaking views of forests and hills all around. Please note that you will follow a sometimes steep, uneven and rocky path, and should have suitable footwear. The walk is classed as beginners’ level. The tour continues with a visit to the lovely Summer Palace. Stroll through the beautiful gardens which were laid out by the notorious Empress Cixi, with no expense spared. The gardens contain bridges, lakes and pavilions, the famous Marble Boat and the exquisitely painted Long Corridor, which stretches along the lakeside and protects walkers from the elements.
